The Continental Walk is fortunate to feature one of New England's premier blues performers, Sweet Willie D. Willie's passion to sing comes from hard times (growing up one of thirteen children) and weekly choir singing in the Baptist churches of South Jersey. In 1975, Willie found himself getting his first taste of the blues at the local juke joints in San Antonio, Texas. This was a premonition of a career in blues 20 years later. He is a treasure to the band and to the Boston blues and swing dance Community.
Sweet Willie D & the Continental Walk is a six-piece band dedicated to preserving a true American Art form... THE BLUES! The Continental Walk doesn’t only play great jump/swing blues, but also mixes in R&B, jazz and 70's soul to create an evening of house rockin’, soulful, energetic Jump Blues Swing!
